Bedford - Etienne Stott White Water Arena (Duckmill Weir) - Site fully floodlit during VKC training sessions. 500m downstream from VKC clubhouse. Permanent setup with movable gates. Usually between 10-12 gates on the permanent lines. When river is high, Sluice 1 (small jet) is currently typically opened at 24.94m and Sluice 2 (big jet) at 24.98m (to determine level add the current level to the site datum)

Cardiff International White Water - CIWW is situated at the International Sports Village in Cardiff Bay, conveniently positioned on the Bay Edge walkway. We offer a unique environment of on-demand white water, plus access to a diverse river system for flat water paddlers only a stone's throw away from the city. The centre is available for exclusive hire: prices start from £250 per hour.

Our Staff...

All members of the team are dedicated to ensuring that programmes are delivered to the highest professional standards. All instructors hold appropriate National Governing Body Instructor/Coach qualifications from Paddle UK, and have the necessary relevant experience in the activities they supervise.

Our facility...

CIWW caters for corporate team development and facilitating national governing body coach education and elite training. We are recognised as a centre of excellence by several bodies including Canoe Wales and the Paddle UK. We are used as a training venue by Europe's rescue services.

CIWW has been used for Prem and World Cup Events.

Hull - Kingston Kayak Club. Regular outdoor pool sessions for beginners and experienced paddlers throughout the year. Training provided for club paddlers at most race venues from beginner to Division 1 prior to races and at local race venues over the winter. Annual training trip to Grandtully in August. Lee Valley White Water Centre

Station Road, Waltham Cross EN9 1AB

The London 2012 Olympic venue for Canoe Slalom - World class purpose built facility consisting of two white water courses and a large lake. The main reception building has changing rooms and showers on the ground floor with an extensive cafe and decked viewing area on the second floor. The Olympic Course provides 300m of challenging grade 3/4 white water and the Legacy Course 160m of grade 2/3. Paddle UK have set up a Regional High Performance Centre on site and Lee Valley Paddlesports Club are also based here.

Slalom sessions are now on the LV website to book. Email to ask them to add the slalom waiver to your account and the sessions will then show on the booking app under Olympic Slalom.

Marple (Manchester Canoe Club) -

Club slalom sessions run on Tuesday and Thursday evening, 7:30 - 9:00 pm. A junior squad runs on Tuesdays at 6 pm, and various other sessions, including specific C1 sessions run at various points, so there is something most nights and something for everyone. General club sessions also run on Sunday from 10:30 am. Good floodlights, so sessions run all year round. The site is at the END of Dale road, Marple, Stockport, on the river Goyt.

 

The Basin (Tees Tigers)

Slalom club sessions take place 6:30-8:00 every Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays. The Basin is floodlit, so sessions run all year round with permanent gates set up. The Basin is easy to find, and is a short paddle (5-8 minutes) from our boat store at Tees Barrage White Water Centre, found upstream on the left hand side (right bank) past the Infinite Bridge.
