Canoe-Tec Canoe Slalom Academy Winter 2021/22
Canoe-Tec Ltd are looking to create a training academy for junior athletes who have qualified to race at Junior Selection 2022 but who may have missed out on a place with a home nation training squad. The idea would be to run monthly, weekend, coached training sessions at Lee Valley, two per day, one weekend per month from November through to Junior Selection 2022.
Canoe-Tec would plan and organise these events and coaching would be provided by GB U23 athletes. Coaches would be male and female with expertise in both canoe and kayak.
The weekends would be run on a non-profit basis. Canoe-Tec would take responsibility for hiring the course and providing coaches. Athletes would pay for their share of course hire and coaching and this would be part subsidised by Canoe-Tec.
It is estimated a coached session will cost a maximum of £20 - hopefully less.
Coaching groups would be a maximum of four athletes per coach.
